Community Women's Orchestra is a volunteer, all-female orchestra based in Oakland, California. CWO provides a fun, welcoming environment to promote women in music.

JOIN US THIS SUMMER: FIRST ANNUAL OAKLAND SUMMER READING ORCHESTRA!

This 5-week summer session is sponsored by CWO but open to all genders and identifications. All instruments welcome! A fantastic group of Bay Area conductors will lead you through great pieces of standard repertoire.

WHEN: Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm; dates are July 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 11

WHERE: Lake Merritt United Methodist Church, Oakland (free parking)

COST: $50 for 5 sessions, paid in advance

Repertoire includes Tchaikovsky: 5th Symphony, Dvorak: 9th Symphony, John Williams: Selections from Hook, Grofe: Mississippi Suite, Copland: Hoe-Down, Saint-Saens: Bacchanale, Tchaikovsky: Nutcracker Suite No. 1, and more!
