Dana Sadava is a conducting student of Alasdair Neale at the San Francisco Conservatory.  She holds degrees in aeronautics and literature from the California Institute of Technology, and in piano performance from the Oberlin Conservatory.  Recently, she served as assistant conductor at Festival Opera for the West Coast premiere of Ned Rorem’s Our Town.  She has received awards and scholarships from the Nissan Foundation, Aspen Music Festival, Hot Springs Music Festival, Young Musicians Foundation and Pasadena Arts Council.
